Welcome to my blog! A little information about myself. I am a firefighter by trade, but an aspiring web designer. I have a passion for creating accessible web designs, that not only look nice, but use valid CSS and XHTML for the markup. I have a beautiful, strong wife and two wonderful daughters that keep my straight and busy!

I have been a firefighter for over 20 years now, with the last 11 years being at Florence Fire / EMS Department in Florence, Kentucky. I am a captain on an Engine company, and sometimes move up to the Battalion Commander position as necessary. I am also the Computer Systems Administrator for the Union Emergency Services Alliance on a part-time basis, where I am responsible for the network, servers, website and systems maintenance.

So, when I’m not at work, I’m at home enjoying time with my wife and daughters. We try to spend as much time together as we can in between my schedule and other appointments that keep us busy. There never seems to be enough time!
